A Peaceful Getaway
An afternoon by the heated 20' by 40' pool may net you a view of great herons and osprey flying overhead. Surrounded by mature trees and rhododendron, you will enjoy full privacy, quiet, and beauty. If saltwater is your preference, walk to the corner and there is the Long Island Sound. You may want to stop at the freshwater pond to watch for turtles, or listen to the spring peepers in early evening. The moon reflects on its surface at night. The property is mostly shaded with lovely woodland gardens. The pool deck offers both sun and shade, extensive outdoor furnishings, and gas grill.
The house is a center hall Williamsburg colonial. The living room is elegantly and comfortably furnished. An armoire holds the tv, VCR, and sound system (speakers throughout the house and on the deck). The dining room table seats twelve. The family room fronts on the kitchen, the pool deck, and is separated from the living room with French doors. The family room also has a tv and comfortable seating and is separated from the kitchen by a counter. The kitchen is large and serves also as the computer center (full cable connection, fax, and scanner and dinette area). The washer and dryer is off of the kitchen.
Three of the bedrooms have Queen-size beds; the master bedroom has a king-size tempurpedic mattress. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and window air conditioner for personal comfort levels (there is cac on the first floor). Master bedroom is spacious with tub/shower. Second bath has walk-in shower. Except for the hottest nights,you will want the windows open to smell the sea air and flowers and hear the crickets.
