Beachwalk is the closest villa complex to the beach, and our unit is only a 3 minute walk (150 yards) from the beach......A beach cart is in our villa, along with a key for the new beach lockers just built in 2005 at the NEW Shipyard BeachClub, 10 paces from the beach!
These lockers are large enough to hold chairs, umbrellas, etc. Our
Villa now has HIGH SPEED DSL Internet access for your use at no charge.
It is a beautiful place (3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths) with plenty of room, next to the beach, tennis, pool and golf. The atmosphere is much different then the Jersey shore and Ocean City, MD. Lots to do, but more of a relaxed atmosphere in a plantation setting and less expensive than what you might be used to....beautiful palm trees and ancient oaks.

Just outside the plantation is the famous Coligny Plaza which contains over 70 shops, including 14 restaurants, Java Joe's Coffee Cafe, ice cream, and upscale miniature golf facilities.
GOLF: Shipyard Golf Club was rated as one of the finest layouts on the Senior PGA Tour. The 27-hole layout wanders through tall pines, magnolias and moss-draped oaks. Adding to the beauty and character of the course are many lagoons and ponds, which must be negotiated if you are to play to your handicap. Hardly a day passes without seeing an alligator or two on the banks of these winding lagoons!

TENNIS: Van Der Meer Tennis offers a wide variety of 3-5 day adult/Jr tennis programs. Located across from our villa, the picturesque Van Der Meer Shipyard Tennis facility has programs that stretch each end of the tennis spectrum. The Resort offers 20 courts (13 Har-Tru & 7 Hard).
Eight are lighted of which 3 are indoor/lighted. Most clinics are held on clay courts. From Instructional clinics where they focus on swing mechanics to Drill and Play clinics where you will groove strokes and tennis strategy through numerous drills and match play.
